"She's pretty isn't she mate?" -Kel pg 30
Kelvin Black is a character from the comic Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Snake Troubles.
Origins[]
Kelvin or Kel's parents parenting was questionable to say the least. It was questionable enough to a point where Kel was taken into the care of his uncle. His uncle worked as a snake milker. This lead to Kel learning how to handle snake really well, and generally have a high interest in them. One day for unknown reasons Kel's parents killed his uncle. Kel was filled with anger and wanted revenge so he used a poisonous snake to kill both of them. This lead to him being thrown into juvenile detention which would change into the monster he is now in ST.
Juvenile Detention[]
Juvie in Australia is beyond awful and it certainly effected Kel. He was horrifically abused by the guards, water boarding, stripping him, and mocking him. Some of the guards were impressed by his endurance and strength and sometimes would bribe him to do things in exchange of "better" treatment. Even though this was just a way for the guards to get more amusement.
Marion Dural[]
Marion is a aboriginal boy that was Kel's cellmate for a time. Him and Kel bonded a bit considering how miserable they were in juvie. To Kel's shock this is actually where he realized he started having romantic feeling for Marion. In response this lead to him becoming way more defensive for Marion. Even if that got him in serious trouble/harm. But it didn't matter as he would do anything to make sure Marion was okay.
However, Marion had a lighter sentence than Kel so Marion was taken away. Kel was beyond devastated. After while Kel really did change whenever he was released. He thought about Marion a lot, until another boy showed up in his life.
