After the ending of Greg's First Edge, Rowley joins the NNN and along with Greg, they are sent by the psychotic leader Bill to take out a Brazilian WES stashhouse. Greg is captured by WES soldiers and while being held captive discovers that after the massacre he committed in the last installment, he has become a WES legend. Greg brutally kills the soldiers and escapes along with Rowley, wondering if Bill knows about their planned takedown of the NNN.
Bill orders Greg and Rowley to return to Plainview and infiltrate the WES as double agents. Greg discovers the many changes in the aftermath of the massacre; he also befriends Holly Hills and is approached by Albert Sandy, now the new leaders of the WES, who asks him to co-lead with him. After nearly blowing his cover, Bill arrives and threatens to kill Holly if she and Greg fall into a relationship; Greg and Holly sleep with each other but Holly is held at gunpoint by Albert, who calls Greg out as a traitor. Albert shoots Holly but is beaten to death by Greg in return.
After saving Holly's life, Greg and Rowley attempt to escape with her but are attacked by Bill; they manage to escape after Fregley distracts Bill, although Bill kills him. Some time later, their car is shot down by Bill's henchmen, badly wounding Rowley; Greg and Bill fight, during which they are both brutally injured. To keep his promise, Bill executes Holly in front of Greg and proceeds to castrate him before leaving. Greg vows to take down Bill and the rest of the NNN.
