Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Squid Game is a spin-off Wimpy Kid book based on the popular and gory Netflix show Squid Game. It was created by u/Johnwasnever, who is a mod of the r/LodedDiper subreddit.

Ruby Bird getting eliminated by a laser, causing her to die.
The next day, they all met up around the block and got in the van. Greg wakes up in a giant room with people wearing sweats. Greg pushes it aside and meets up with the gang. The men in pink suits explain the rules and take everyone to the first room. Greg then plays the iconic game, Red Light Green Light. This is the moment when Greg found out that by "elimination" they were talking about death after Ruby Bird is killed with a few others. When they all got back to the main room, he finds out that everytime someone dies, the piggy bank adds $100,000,000. This makes Greg even more motivated.
The next day, Greg meets up with Rowley and the others and explains how there gonna have to work together if they are gonna win this. Everyone get's led into the next room and the game starts. The guards tell them that they have to pick between four shapes. Fregley chose triangle, Chirag chose circle, Rowley chose umbrella and Greg chose star as that's what he'll be when he wins. The guards gave everybody cookies of the shapes they chose and said that they have to cut them with needles but Greg finds out that if you lick the cookies they melt, which makes Greg and his gang survive.
The next day, they had to be in teams of five. So Greg and the gang teamed up, they needed one more player, but he then out that Rodrick was here as well. Rodrick joins the team and everybody heads down for the next game which was tug-of-war but 1,000 ft in the air. Greg's team go first and win because Rodrick carried the whole team. The next day, they choose partners for the next game which was marbles. Greg chooses Rodrick, but he regrets it when the announcer says whoever teammate steals all of their partners marbles wins. Thing's felt slow motion and Greg almost fainted. That meant either him all or Rodrick win. Greg was about to say something to Rodrick, right when he grabs his hand places his bag of marbles on it. Greg was speechless. Rodrick tells Greg to follow his dreams as he punches the guard, who shoots him right after and that's the last time Greg saw his brother. After that, Greg is back in the normal room, Fregley comes back too and eventually Rowley but Chirag never came back.
For the next game, the guards brought every one to a white room with ten numbered vests. Fregley went first and chose ten. Greg tells Rowley to choose one, just to be safe and he choose two. Everyone put on the vests and went to the next room. It rows going across the room to the other side. Each row had square panels of glass spread apart from each other. Some were weak some were strong. Fregley went first and he obviously, died. and everyone else who went next died apart from Greg and Rowley. Greg got an idea which was just to spread his arms and legs across and crawl to the other side. Rowley caught on and did the same. When they got back to the main room, Greg and Rowley ate a fancy dinner and sat down after that, and had their last normal conversation.
The next day, the guards took them to the room where they would play the infamous squid game. Greg and Rowley got a pistol and Greg wins, putting an end to the games.
